Massive spoilers ahead for Avengers: Endgame. If you haven't seen the latest MCU movie, look away!

It's been two weeks since Avengers: Endgame arrived in theaters, and moviegoers still have recovered from the movie's wild ride. The Russo Brothers once again did the impossible, crafting a complicated and character-driven movie that shattered expectations. The affects of Infinity War allowed the co-directors to focus on the original members of the team, while eventually allowing the dusted characters to pop back up.

In the preceding movie, Thanos succeeded in gathering the Infinity Stones and wiping out half of all life. But ahead of Endgame's release, most fans assumed the dusted characters would be brought back to life. That eventually happened thanks to the time heist and Bruce Banner, and the fallen traveled to the Avengers Compound for one final battle. This included Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch, and now the actress has revealed a cool behind the scenes video as as thank you to the fandom. Check it out.

Wanda Maximoff may have been down, but she wasn't out. The magical Avenger returned to face back off against Thanos in Endgame, and it was one of many epic moments during the final battle sequence.

This new clip, which comes from Elizabeth Olsen's Instagram page, shows some of the work that went into Scarlet Witch's long awaited reunion with the Mad Titan. During the epic final battle at the remains of the Avengers Compound, the new Gauntlet was passed around to quite a few heroes, attempting to keep it away from Thanos and transport the Infinity Stones back in time. When Thanos nearly caught up with Black Panther, Wanda suddenly appeared and brought some pain to Josh Brolin's signature villain.

Of course, that Mad Titan wasn't actually the Thanos that she faced off against during Infinity War. Instead, it was Thanos from 2014, who had never met any of the heroes he was facing off against. But that didn't matter to Scarlet Witch, who used her telekinetic abilities to beat the crap out of the big purple guy. Her power was significant enough that she broke Thanos' sword (which was strong enough to destroy Cap's vibranium shield), and he eventually called for fire from above because he feared for his life.

Scarlet Witch obviously didn't have much to do in Endgame besides the big battle and Tony Stark's funeral, but relationship with Vision was a significant subplot in Infinity War. Her powers also continue to grow with each appearance, so it should be interesting to see what comes next for Elizabeth Olsen's Marvel heroine.

Both Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany are expected to reprise their roles in WandaVision, a developing miniseries for Disney+. The upcoming streaming service will help to expand the MCU, including the big name talent from the films. Vision died during Infinity War and Olsen has teased the show might be set in '50s. So really, the WandaVision could go anywhere.

Scarlet Witch has had an interesting run in the Marvel Cinematic Universe thus far, with the distinct honor of starting off as a villain. After a brief cameo in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, she made her grand debut in Avengers: Age of Ultron. And she wasn’t exactly an ally to the titular team of heroes.

Wanda got her powers from exposure to the Mind Stone, volunteering to be experimented on with the goal of getting revenge on Tony Stark. But she eventually saw the error in her ways, and turned against Ultron alongside the Avengers. Although in the process, she lost her brother Quicksilver.

She eventually joined the Avengers proper, accidentally killing floors of people in Captain America: Civil War’s opening sequence. This event helped kickstart the Sakovia Accords, a conflict that broke the Avengers up until Infinity War.

Scarlet Witch has had her hands in some important plot points throughout the MCU, and has the honor of killing Ultron and nearly taking down Thanos. But what her future is a mystery, especially now that her primary scene partner is dead for good.

Given what happened to the original team of Avengers in Endgame, it makes sense that Scarlet Witch might take a larger role in the group moving forward. Iron Man and Black Widow both sacrificed themselves for the greater good, while Captain America returned from time travel as an old man. Thor is seemingly joining the Guardians of the Galaxy, so a new team will need to be formed if The Avengers are to continue guarding Earth.

Scarlet Witch seems like an obvious choice to join the New Avengers, since she’s actually one of the more experienced members at this point. Considering how seemingly limitless her abilities are, she’s likely going to be one of the Avengers big guns alongside Captain Marvel.

Wanda was literally alongside Captain Marvel during Avengers: Endgame’s epic final battle, alongside the rest of the MCU’s fiercest ladies. When Carol Danvers grabbed ahold of the new Infinity Gauntlet, Marvel heroines helped her get through Thanos’ forces. This includes Scarlet Witch, as well as Pepper Potts, Mantis, Shuri, The Wasp, Okoye, and the past version of Gamora.

The moment featuring MCU’s badass women was one of the most applauded during Avengers: Endgame screenings, and has been a long time coming. Some of Marvel’s actresses actually pitched an all-female movie to Kevin Feige once. Considering how little we know about Phase Four, could this idea come to fruition?

For now, we’ll just have to wait and see. Marvel Studios is still keeping its plans for the future close to the chest for the time being. Spider-Man: Far From Home will reveal how the Marvel Cinematic Universe has moved on after half of the population vanished and returned five years later. So perhaps that’ll include some idea of how the Avengers are getting along.

You can catch Scarlet Witch in Avengers: Endgame, which is in theaters now. In the meantime, check out our 2019 release list to plan your next trip to the movies.
